I was just wondering if anyone else is in the same position as Lupi and Corly.  Both toons are attuned for the Naxx - and never got close to seeing it before Outlands popped up.

Given that Lich King will soon be upon us with Naxx version 2, I wondered if anyone else fancied taking a dander around Naxx as it is now.  Just for the funs of it all. 

Anyone else just wanna be nosey and see it?

been after having a look around there for ages, been attuned for wats seems like an eternity and never even looked into the portal.

say when your going and i'll gladly join ya, work permitting of course :)

To enter Naxxramas, you must become attuned through the Argent Dawn by completing  the quest "The Dread Citadel - Naxxramas",

This quest can be picked up from Archmage Angela Dosantos at Light's Hope Chapel in the Eastern Plaguelands who'll want
5 Arcane Crystals
2 Nexus Crystals
1 Righteous Orb
60 gold pieces (I think this cost varies depending on your rep)
You must also be Honored with the Argent Dawn. 

I think if you are already Exalted with them - the cost for attunement could well be free.


For those that don't know anything about Naxx - here's the idiots guide. . .

Naxxramas is a 40-man raid instance floating above the Eastern Plaguelands.  It has the shape of a necropolis and has the questionable honor to serve as the seat of one of the Lich King's most powerful officers, the dreaded lich Kel'Thuzad. 

The instance was regarded as the most difficult before the release of Burning Crusade.  Naxxramas is also the home of many of the most powerful items of the pre-BC era and all Tier 3 items available in the game.  With the release of The Burning Crusade, finishing this instance still requires 20-30 well-equipped level 70 players.  The dungeon was added in patch 1. 11, making it the last non-expansion instance added to the core game as well as the last 40 man instance in non-expansion World of Warcraft. 

Recently it was announced that with the release of the new Wrath of the Lich King expansion, Naxxramas will be moving back to Northrend, where it will be retuned to be the first raid dungeon where it (as well as all other raid dungeons) will have a 10/25 man version.

The move is not a retcon, but a progression of the storyline.  Naxxramas was indeed in the Eastern Plaguelands, but after Kel'Thuzad's phylactery was given to the treacherous Father Inigo Montoy, the lich was able to revive himself and make the transition along with his fortress. 


So. .  what say ye all? Would be nice to get a taster before they retune the bloody thing and make it nigh on impossible.

I'm liking the sound of this.  Shall I pop a fun run up on the planner for a weekend in August?

weekend would suit me perfectly due to shift work, if not i'm sure i can fit a erm,,,,*holiday* in somewhere  :-X hehe

I have added the Naxx run for the 22nd which is a Friday night.  Let's see how many people we get signed.

Myself and Xak are not attuned at the moment but if interest is looking good, we'll be ready :)

Having recently taken my undead group into Naxxramas, I can confirm the above costs.   You can actually get attuned even at Friendly, but it's astronomically more expensive.   By contrast it's significantly cheaper at Revered (2 Arcane Crystals, 1 Nexus Crystal, 30 GP) and, as you correctly say, free at Exalted.

got myself achooned :P and I think ironfist is almost done too, very curious about this place now.

Well.  I signed up, I am attuned and nevah been there, wel, once with Gesus and got one shotted by a spider   ::)

And they say walking with Gesus is a safe path :)
