Title: Lost, Undead Warlock, Hoodlum of Unspeakable Villainy
Post by: Harad on August 06, 2008, 12:20:32 AM
For the Horde!

Hi, Camo here.   That's Haradbrand to the Alliance scum over on the Twilight Rising forum (hoc spit).

On the Horde side, I am Lost, L70 undead warlock, and Hoodlum of Unspeakable Villainy.   My main friends in that guild are my RL mates Ferris (troll warrior), Phase (undead priest) and Gronk.   I also have a tauren shaman called Mool, the Guildmaster of <Lazy Peon>.   Zarthag (Piety's orc hunter) is a member of this guild.

Just saying hi, and that I'll keep an eye out in case I spot your Horde folks online.

Welcome mate, we do have a few hordies kicking around and I'm very pleased to see you've got an alt in such a well known horde guild.  May even help inspire a few to try the dark side a bit more hehe

A warm welcome from Zarx to you Lost! Hope you'll find the LanCraft community to your liking.

It would be most pleasing to be joined by some new strong hands! It is getting kind of lonley actually... *sniffles*

The alliance are growing in numbers like rats! Rats I tell you!

Do you play any of your Steamwheedle characters mate?

Not at the moment no mr. Daal, due to the reason of my ISP problems - if you recall. And if not:

It seems I can only log on for about 2 minutes and play, completely lag-free, before I get disconnected. I've checked and rechecked settings in my router, tried with and without it and nothing seems to work.

My ISP has also confirmed that they are having connection issues with several of their customers and they have also stated that they have not been able to establish what is causing the problem.   So because of this they can't really say when or if, it's going to be fixed. And because our contract with this ISP was recently renewed I'll have to wait until somewhere in September before I can change my ISP.

So, no Daal, I am not playing any of my Steamwheedle Characters at the moment. And I was merely encouraging Lost's choice of factions as the numbers seems to favour the Alliance side at the moment!

Indeed it is, which is quite enfuriating...

It's basically like this:
I log on, everything works perfectly, around 100 ms - as it should be on a 8mbit/s ADSL connection. Then, all hell breaks loose:

First, my fps drops(?) and then a huge lagspike in of astronomical proportion kicks in and I can't really do anything. After about 20 seconds my character starts to move again but if I try do something, it takes 10-15 seconds to react. Somewhere between 6-8000 ms in latnency (my record is 8,5k so far) and then I get thrown out.

A random beta day for Zarx!

I might also add that these connectivity problems affects my foruming abilities as well :(
