Title: Should the PvP daily be the same across the battlegroup?
Post by: Antheus on January 05, 2008, 02:51:36 PM
Blizzard recently added a PvP daily quest - score a win in that day's selected battleground and hand it in for additional honor and gold (and XP if you're not 70 yet).

However what battleground you have to get not only changes each day, but is also different for each server - meaning not everyone in your battlegroup (the other servers you see in battlegrounds with you) will be wanting the same one.

The positive to this would be that it (in theory) would improve the chances of seeing more players from your own server in the battlegrounds, as they're after the same daily you are each day.

However the negative is that, as the other servers in your group may be after one of the other battlegrounds, the one you want might take a very long time to begin - especially for those not yet level 70.

If everyone in each battlegroup wanted the same BG for the daily, it should improve the chances of getting into the BG you want and trying to get that all-important victory.

So, what do you think - should the PvP daily be the same across all servers in a battlegroup?

I like the fact that they are spread out amongst servers. The reason why is that some people like to do certain bgs.  I know most in our guild like doing av's everday. If everyone had the same bg, then that would severly hurt the whole reason for multiple bgs.  Since we win almost 80% or more of our av's, alot of the reason we have alliance is because of the dailys.  You take that out and it would hinder the bgs that are dominated by one faction. But thats just my opinion

Not sure how that differs tho mate depending on whether the same BG is done accross all servers in the Battlegroup...

We only have about 5 servers in our BG and generally even with 5, you usually have lots of AV's and a few others depending on the Daily.

I think Anth is getting at the fact that in any given Battlegroup, if the daily was WSG, it would be WSG on every realm in that battlegroup, then change to EOS the following day etc.

To be honest, I'd kinda assumed they were the same on every realm.

Yeah so did I, but they're not... which is a shame because if they were you'd think it'd allow you to get into the one you want easier.

There's nothing worse than logging on for your lunch hour at work, seeing EoS as the PvP Daily, getting in the queue and not even getting into EoS during the whole hour - nevermind win one!

To be Totally honest I have always stated well away from BG's Before I made my Huntard that is! (and that is only because I want to have Kara stated gear with out the cost of running Kara!)

If they made it for the whole battle Group I can only think tha the waiting time would be a problem again. We can all remember the 3 hour waiting times for a BG and then having an AV last like 4-6 hours! OMG!

The AV's that I ran today, at Lunch time (we lost *sigh*) but they were 15 mins each!

I normally only play these after about 10:00 PM UK time as most of the newbies!! are all tucked up in there little bed's!
