Title: No Logged Out Indicator Post by: ZagZ on January 17, 2008, 01:55:37 PM Heres one for ya.
As a complete new person (I hate the word n00b) to the forum I tried to reply to a post I made earlier in the day. I couldn't see any reply buttons at all. Turned out I had been logged out due to inactivity I presume but there was nothing to signify this and I think removing all functional buttons is a bit harsh and not very obvious. Note to Daal: The day was saved when Baxter showed me the problem but this could be confusing to others or perhaps I'm just an idiot OR maybe even both :-P Title: Re: No Logged Out Indicator Post by: Daal on January 17, 2008, 02:58:22 PM It's a limitation in the site which can be resolved by ticking the 'remember me' box when you logon.
Title: Re: No Logged Out Indicator Post by: Zarx on January 17, 2008, 06:10:48 PM It took me a while before I figured this one out to actually. Imagine writing a full page of something with imagelinks etc. and when you press 'Post' everything dissappears...
The moral of this story is to always remember to have a back up of your work and always save when you've done considerable progress. Title: Re: No Logged Out Indicator Post by: ZagZ on January 18, 2008, 10:08:48 AM Glad it wasn't jus me then lol.
A possible simple way around this would be to have the remember me box ticked as default perhaps? |
