From WoW forums: "The idea is to let you swap glyphs and action bars along with your talents. It will be trivial to do in town. You will also be able to do it out of towns, but not as trivially."

I would assume this means you can't just change specs while in combat, which would be a good choice, but the description isn't very specific, so who knows?
2  World of Warcraft / General WoW Chat / Re: Death Knight - Faction? on: October 10, 2008, 06:36:42 PM
From what I have read, the only requirement to create a Death Knight is you have to have a character of level 55+ on the account. This means even if that level 55+ character is Alliance on a PvP server, you can create a Death Knight on a different server and make him Horde if you want.

As far as faction goes, they are not a new faction, just a new class, so picking your faction and race is exactly the same as for creating any other character, you will be Alliance or Horde depending what race you choose.

The quest for elemental leatherworking is to collect hearts of fire, globes of water, cores of earth, and breaths of wind and bring them back to the trainer in Searing Gorge. These can be found on most elementals of the corresponding type from about level 45-60, so it will take some traveling around to get this one done.

The only problem with relying only on your keys to move your character is that you turn very slowly as compared to holding the right click on the mouse and turning your character that way. I have a feeling your trouble with rogues also has something to do with this as they don't tend to stay in one place while they beat on you, making it very hard to hit them if you can't turn quickly enough to get them in front of you.

Not that what you're doing is wrong, if it works for you then go for it, but I play on a PvP server and being able to watch my back at all times is a must, so I pretty much have to use the mouse.

Sounds like you're talking about Darkshore, in which case that's roughly a level 10-20 zone, and if I remember correctly you said you're level 22, so it's probably not worth doing anymore. If you travel south from there you will enter Ashenvale, which would be a good zone for you at your level and has a bunch of good quests, including one where you turn yourself into a furbolg.

If you're not sure a zone is in your level range you can always check out worldofwarcraft.com and look at the maps, they will list the target levels for each zone. Hope this helps!

Make sure you check out Duskwood before you head on to Stranglethorn, that's one of my favorite low level zones.
6  World of Warcraft / General WoW Chat / Re: What's Next For Blizzard??? on: February 13, 2008, 04:49:51 PM
I'm not sure how many actual expansions will be coming after WotLK, I expect maybe one more expansion and then most new content will come in the form of patches from that point forward. If they want to add anything significant lore-wise as to make a more powerful enemy than Arthas I expect they will have to make a Warcraft 4 first.

I'm not so sure about World of Starcraft (although it would be cool), but I'm anticipating Diablo 3 in the form of an MMORPG, which I was hooked on for a good like while before WoW came out along with a lot of other people. We haven't seen anything from Diablo since the Diablo 2 expansion came out, besides maybe some big content patches, and there's a rumor that they're already in the process of something, although no real evidence to back it up. Oh how I would love to see something new from the Diablo universe. Sure we killed him twice before, but we all know that won't last.
7  World of Warcraft / PvE / Re: Favorite questing area? on: January 30, 2008, 06:20:33 PM
My absolute favorite questing area would have to be Duskwood, so that gets my 20-30 pick.
Next is Stranglethorn Vale, which I guess would get my 30-45 or so vote.
Once I get past those two areas I don't really have a favorite, probably why I have so many alts, but if I had to pick I guess I'd go with Un'Goro Crater just because of all the dinosaurs.
Haven't gotten too far into Outland yet so I don't think I can comment on anything over 60.

This is all from an Alliance standpoint, but I might switch over to Horde for a while for a change of scenery and we'll see if my favorites stay the same.

I know I will be rolling a DK right away if it just unlocks as soon as you hit 55 with one of your toons.  I know it might get annoying with so many others starting one at the same time, but I don't think it will be as bad as a lot of people think.  There will be a lot of people racing to get to level 80, probably the majority of people that have a 70 right now, and if the DK only starts at 55 or so I doubt they would bother with it right away, so that gives enough time to get out of the starting area (assuming DKs get a starting area) before those high level players decide to try a DK alt and clog the place up.

I did the same thing when TBC came out rolling a Draenei shammy and it wasn't too bad.  The change to spawn rates increasing with more characters in the area really helped out, probably one of the best changes they've made for questers like me.  You guys go ahead and wait to make a DK though, makes it less crowded for me, I can't wait to start one, it sounds like it will be a really fun class to play.

Also, something I've not tried yet is unlearning my talents.  I think it would be really interesting to play my rogue as subtley rather than combat and would therefore give the character a new lease of life.

I haven't tried that either and I'm also wondering how that would help me out, a different set of talents may be just what I need, but at this point I think I'll wait until some of my alts have gotten into Outland.
10  World of Warcraft / General WoW Chat / Re: Emerald Dream on: January 21, 2008, 05:06:19 PM
I sure hope they do something with those portals besides putting big dragons in front of them, I've been wanting to see what's on the other side ever since I first stumbled on the one in Duskwood and the other ones have just increased my curiosity.   I think it's safe to say they have something to do with the Emerald Dream, but I expect they will save it for a future expansion following WotLC, or maybe a big patch, sounds like they have to come up with some new lore to make sense of it.
