It can`t be the downfall of wow Smiley

First of, FunCom aims for 400 000 fixed subscribers ( witch they have of today, just a question of how many sticks ) FunCom`s server park is`t ready for more than 500 000-600 000 players. Even if thats only a cash issue. They are also not planning for that many sold.

But most importantly, The strength of Wow is that it can be played on pretty much anything. A half decent electric razor with a display should even handle it Tongue
AoC would require an upgrade for a very many players in terms of computer HW. People like me, who upgrades when their work stuff demands it. Never mind plays on a Mac, we won`t do much more than look twice at it.

When and if it comes on Xbox 360 it could pose a bigger threat. But consoles is`t a natural place for MMOèrs to be Smiley

And lastly, if 5 out of 20 in a guild leaves for AoC, those remaining 15 will be a reason for the first 5 to return. Strenght in numbers and WoW got the numbers Smiley

I know WoW will die some day, but it won`t be due to AoC, not even getting a deep wound.

AoC just seems like it takes a huge chunck out of the players, due to exams being around now, as well as being new and fresh. The numbers that count vs WoW will be the number of players they have in say 3-6 months Smiley

2  World of Warcraft / General WoW Chat / Re: When Wrath of the Lich King is released, will you be rolling a Death Knight? on: May 27, 2008, 06:10:10 AM
After Rp-ing pretty much hardcore on this server for over two years I have seen my share of half gods, half demons, undead, full demons, half dragon and yes death knights. All of the above find it perfectly normal to walk in Stormwind, getting offended when somebody points out "mate, with an ounce of realism the guards would gank you and the population would panic".

Same group picks fights, get killed only to walk around in Stormwind the next day, or gets vastly offended when somebody fights back and pushes them into a position were they can`t win. Its not only PUG`s that suffer random disconnects as an excuse of not following through.

DK will serve as a license tool for every half wit that thinks his dream of super powers is justified.
Another round of idiots with two handed weapons starting ill advised emote fights. Just when I had most of those pegged down on sight so I could avoid them.

It won`t help roleplay, it will more likely chuck it down the drain. Because lowest common denominator usually wins. And lowest common denominator in a game with 11 mil subscribers ain`t pretty.

I know its lore right with DK existing in the game. Don`t mean I want to share a drink with them in the pig and whistle.

The more I hear about DK the more do I want to press the "cancel" subscription button. Not so much due to balance, I just fear what it will do too rp

Then you can do the only honest thing in all of WoW purchase rep and a title!. "Nomine of the Shattered sun". Only 1000 gold, and yeah I will pay it Cheesy

I gotten myself two new fist weapons, enchanted and ready.
Trial tests on Lurker from below shows a dps increase from 664 to 816.
Never mind that I am still learning the fight, and that when I did 664 dps I had flask of relentless assult, this time I made due with a 25 agility potion.
On Hydross I managed to push my dps record up to 908 in a fight were there is many dps stops and breaks Smiley

All this while keeping the 8 talent points I need for rp and joy Smiley ( 5/5 MoD and 3 in stealth speed to keep bothering playing Smiley )

Next move, another 78 Badges for a improved chest piece.

The five channelers can be poisoned with both wound and mind numbing poison, making things a little easier.
8  World of Warcraft / PvE / Re: Gruuls Lair - Boss Tactics. on: April 18, 2008, 07:00:14 PM
Extra note on High King Mulgars priestly add.
Mindnumbing poison don`t work, but wound poison do. The dps loss from keeping wound poison on your rogues daggers for this fight is superior to keeping any other poison on your rogues dagger.
Trick here is to stop him from self healing, not healing other mobs Smiley

If you raid with more than 2 rogues, the third and above is`t really needed for the wound poison.

"So what's the plan again?"

*coughs* when plans are explained I usually go to the bathroom, put over the kettle, put my clothes in the washer.
If something goes wrong I simply claim "lag, I pressed vanish many times it just bugged!", "lagged so I could`t reach the mob/cube/click/safe spot". Has worked so far, and I play a rogue so this is honest enough for me Cheesy

10  World of Warcraft / PvE / Re: Shattered Sun Offensive - Progress on: April 18, 2008, 12:44:56 PM
For me its more that I can`t get my dps up to were I want it. So I wonder if I am simply so stuck that getting fists over daggers would help shake me lose. Nothing is magic ofcourse Smiley

Or if I should get those daggers and be happy with a superb stamin, as dead rogues do no dps... But.. the fists give my around 50-60 more dps in ze spreadsheet.
