1  Guilds / Twilight Rising / Re: Putting the Old Kingdom to Rest on: January 05, 2009, 04:35:46 PM
I tackled the Old kingdoms myself on Hc the other day. And oh yes insanity does indeed suck. But luckily im the resto shaman so i was the only one not screaming "ARGH i cant kill Thovaak"!!!! lol. But once you know the tacts its ok. The tac was to make sure you heal grp to full b4 killin last evil clone so ur rdy for the big guy. As it happened we downed him first time, but it was tricky.

We completed it within the time frame for that quest aswell whihc was nice. And did the HC boss too.

All good fun, hardest one so far has been HoS. The bit where you defend ur dwarf mate from many many mobs was ver tough. Think we wiped almost 10 time.....but persistance pays off in the end and we cleared it.

Had my first experience of naxx last night. Loved it. only did the spider quarter but it was great fun. I love the longer boss fights (10 man BTW). We wiped bout 6 times on Malexxna (or whatever her name is) cos of the web wrap after she enrages....its almost impossible for you MT to survive a grp stun if she is enraged....so we just had a secondary tank take over and finished her off. Cant wait to try more.

I am a bit dissapointed we havent got dual specs in this patch. I personnally will be using it to switch between pve and pvp specs. I had to respec recently to make me more viable in heroics and this meant droppin ALL my pvp talents...hence i now suck at pvp and this is dissappointing me. So i would not want to respec half way through a raid or anything. Just in the town rdy for arena and bg's.

Us LWers have a damn good bracer enchantment.

Have used it on my pvp gear... +90 stam on bracers.

With all my pvp gear on that i crafted and armour upgrades etc i can get my HP up to 16.5k ...good for a resto shammy. is 13k in inst gear.

Thanks, i hjave found a few badge items in 'Curiosities and moore'...a nice trinket that i want. But i have yet to find a vendor that sells decent badge clothing.......heard that they may be comin in next patch but i really cant find anything concrete.

Cleared Nexus HC last night..that first boss really sucks!!!

K so i finally cleared my first heroic yesterday..then my 2nd. First onje i did was Uttgarde keep followed by VH.

Im thinkin that my first couple of groups where not great and that ws causing me problems. Picked up a nice gd helpful group and we didnt have many problems..one wipe on first boss in UK to get tactics sorted then straight through. Had a palatank wioth only 22k HP but they were one of best tanks i have sen, they took hardly any dmg.

Violet hold was alittle harder but we had no wipes. first boss can be very healing intesive cos at the end they do the tank LOTS of damage very quickly and its a bit of a dps race to kill her before your tank dies.

Anyway...feelin good about heroics now and will be caning through the rest of em soon.

BTW can someone please tell me where the badge vendors are?Huh
6  World of Warcraft / PvP / Re: Level 80 pvp gear - Wintergrasp on: December 15, 2008, 09:15:08 AM
Did the vault of Archavon last week (10-man). Is quite a good fun raid, similiar to gruul, and actually pretty easy. 2 drops and both were for classes we didnt have lol!!!! but thats life. I actually stumbled into a batle for wintergrasp last night....and hell was it fun. Siege engines and pppl everywhere pitched in a huge battle grt...

Leatherworkers, Blacksmiths etc can now make pvp gear. I have made 6 of the 8 pieces of pvp gear avilable to me now.

On a side note could someone PLEASE tell me where the badge vendors are?
i.e. where i can buy gear using my badges of heroism.

Thanks and i also agree wit that point. Im aware that we are the worst class for five man healing. We work best when bouncin chain heals around all the scrub dps........

But i will get there soon............

lots of good info......

Only realy interesting one for me was 'Healing Way' for shamans. Should now increase healing by 18% and not stack rather than 6% and can stack up to 3 times (15 sec duration). Thyats actually quite a considerable diference considering you very rarely spam it enough to get the 3 stacks......should be nice

i would imagine, and hope, that you cant do it while in combat
