Was just wonderin about the Death Knight.....

What faction is it going to be....i mean will you be able to group up with members of the alliance or the the horde? Or can you choose? Havent actually seen it mentioned anywhere which seems a bit strange....

I'm going to guess it's still Alliance and Horde, but you bring an interesting point; if there's going to be a league of Death Knights that you can earn reputation with?

The Death Knight is just another option for any race.  So not only do you choose Alliance or Horde but also Gnome, Human etc.

ah thats pretty cool.....so i could roll an alliance Human Death Knight...

I see......

I cant wait cos it means ill be abel to roll an alt withou having to start from lvl 1...This will help with aiding my guild etc on instances cos i could spec a tank and then change my shaman to a resto shaman which will give me a diff character for different situations.

As far as I know, when you roll your DK it will depend on what realm type you're on I think.

You have to have a level 70 on a realm to be able to roll a DK so unless you're on a pvp realm (meaning you cant have Horde and Alliance) you can select whether you want your guys to be either.  When you choose a faction, you then get to choose from that factions available races.

This is how it worked in beta.

From what I have read, the only requirement to create a Death Knight is you have to have a character of level 55+ on the account. This means even if that level 55+ character is Alliance on a PvP server, you can create a Death Knight on a different server and make him Horde if you want.

As far as faction goes, they are not a new faction, just a new class, so picking your faction and race is exactly the same as for creating any other character, you will be Alliance or Horde depending what race you choose.
