There are 2 different elements to levelling with LanCraft

The first is your rank (under your name), which grows as you post more on the forums.  This is fairly standard on most forums.

The second is the "Reputation with LanCraft" - which allows other members of the community to Buff/Debuff you. The idea being that if you post lots of really good interesting threads hopefully others in the community will buff you.

There's no real advantage to either (they don't open up any new features or anything), just to give you a warm feeling inside - and give others an idea of how involved you are with the community.
