Alison had had a good day. Customers were plentiful, and all her permanent residents had payed their rent. She strongly hoped that the mage had presented her with real money,  and not just summoned up an illusion of gold, but she trusted him. He was a good fellow, and would not do something of that sort. As she sat there, in front of her customers, she slowly settled into a pleasant, sleepy trance. Thoughts of her husband brought a dreamy smile to her lips. He had been away trading this week, and would be very aroused when he reached her bed. She waited for the moment eagerly.

Suddenly an exlamation from the small gnome jerked her out of her trance. "A nectar, please". She slowly got up and poured the gnome some nectar. Woo or Waa or whatever her name was, she was quite good looking. Still in her early adulthood, this gnome was a great specimen of her race, and raised Alisons standards of gnomish beauty. The young girls eyes were fixed upon an elf sitting on the opposite end of the bar. "An elf and a gnome? Hmm... They might make a good couple" said Alison to herself cheerfully. "I wonder what her next move will be" she thought.

As her attention drifted towards the elf, she noted his wide shoulders and handsome smile, and thought to herself "he is very good looking, but i bet that my husband is better in bed". She settled down into her chair and prepared to take another nap, hopefully without any interruptions. It seemed only a moment later when she was jerked out of her siesta again. She was already prepared to scowl the person who was disrespectful enough to interrupt her slumber, but then she noticed that it was the Elf, placing an order for another Nectar. She poured another glass, and the elf passed it on to the Gnome "Hmm, so they're flirting already? that didnt take much time.. Well, good luck Wee". Upon closer inspection she realised that the Elf was a resident of hers from time to time, and remembered that he had that giant Lion with him. "I should really give that pussy cat something to eat" she remarked, glaring in the direction of one of the maids. The frightened girl quickly took a big chunk of meat from the cellar and brought it to the Lion. He looked at it with disdain and sniffed. The girl left it on the floor and went away. "Well, so much for a steak tonight" she remarked sadly.

Now that she had already no chance of getting any more sleep, she was determined to follow the state of affairs between these two closely. While she had been distracted by the meat, a second elf had appeared, and was now busily engaged with a quiet conversation with the other elf. They resembled each other to some extent, and to Alison they looked like brothers. Evidently, they were so engrossed in discussing something that they had completely forgotten Waa. She was quite apalled at the state of affairs. "What sort of a man is this, forgetting about a girl?". She decided to take matters into her own hands. She retrieved three tankards of dwarven stout from the cupboard, and put them on the table with a satisfying clank. Her mission had been accomplished: soon the Elf and the Gnome were busily chatting, their tankards half empty, while the Elf-brother was sitting sulkily in his corner again, his tankard untouched.

(welcome to the story mate - have broken your long paragraph up a little to make it easier on the eyes - great work - Daal Smiley)

Wu smiled gratefully at Alison as she promptly brought them another round.

"Thankyou Alison!Tis Wu, Waa was my great Aunt who had green hair and too many toes, she actually had ten!"

Wu screwed her nose up for a moment as she watches Solomon stretch. What a cute kitty! Oh how nice it must be to coddle up to that warm fur and just snooze! Wu stifled a small yawn and sucked greedily upon the goblet, enjoying the flow of sweet nectar down her parched throat. Afterall, it had been ages since her last sip!

Looking with almond eyes now to Xaal and then Daal, Wu wondered why he still looked so forlorn. Well three things made a smile in Wu's book. A cuddle, a song and good ol bouncing! Well a song it would be since..Bouncing..was highly irregular, though, fun if she were single and well yeah. Clearing her throat Wu began to sing something from the top of her head as was her want.

"Ohhh....Daal be Elven, Daal be pretty , Daal has shinies too!
Daal be hunting, Daal be grunting, Daal will run ye through!
Horde be asking, girls be crying, what are we to do?
For who does stand a chance...be it battle or romance..
When there be not one Ravenglade..but ..twooooooo.."

After letting the 'ooo' die down Wu sat back satisfied awaiting with hope for a smile.

Daal began to grin when the door slammed open, interrupting the conversation of the three at the bar. All looked to the huge human covered in golden armour with a huge hammer strapped to his back and his companion, a night elf woman wearing flowing green robes with the symbol of a hunting cat’s head emblazoned on her chest and each shoulder, she carried a great wooden staff as they walked over the thresh-hold, the man walking to a table in the corner and the woman came towards the bar.

The night-elf strolled up to the bar and called over Alison, ordering two large tankards of mead. As Alison went to find two clean tankards, the night elf noticed Daal and Xaal looking at her. She stared back. There was an uneasy silence as she saw the purple aura around Xaal and frowned. Alison returned at that moment with the two tankards and placed them on the bar. The night elf handed over a few coins and took the drinks to the man at the table. When the man glared around at all looking at him they hastily returned to their own conversations. The woman said something to the man and he glanced in Xaal’s direction, downed his tankard and leant back in his chair.
