In the ideals of all time two things broguht up mankind.  Fear of God and Fear of the Devil.  Generally speaking those who feared God became faithful slaves of the church and those that feared the devil became slaves of the devil.

Now in every world of good and evil you have those that also worship the devil and through black magic, voodoo, witch craft or other arcanic means.

You also have those who fear and wish to destroy these Archaic powers.  This is where Witchhunters come into play.  A rare type of fighter using both rogue and warrior physical fighting skills against all those who wield magic.  There resistance to magic is more like an allergy, to magically bless or curse them can only be done by the mightiest of wizards and then not often. They have limitations and they have strengths.

Strenghts:
1. This class should have a hitpoint stamina bonus twice as high any other class as healing them magically will not be easy.

2.  80% of all fighting skills available from both Rogue and Warrior trees.  Access to a few of the hunter Traps(Ice trap, Explosive trap, Frost trap).  This includes Rogue Stealth and Ambush line especially.

3.  Natural spell reflect- This skill works sort of like spell reflect from warriors but instead a passive skill at 80%.  This works against both Beneficial and non beneficial skills.

4.  Base resistance at indoctrination of this class at 75 to all schools of magic and increasing natural 1 point for each level of the classes progression.

5.  Ability to ignore magical shields..

6.  More to come...

Limitations:

1.  They may not use anything magical - IE scrolls, wands.  (Alchemy is a touchy one as many people see potions as possibly magical but a witchhunter sees it at that Alchemy and that is a science.)

2.  Getting healed in a group is not likely to happen as most of the healing spells will be reflected back to caster or resisted completely.  This makes the witchhunter very cautious.  Pretty much bound to bandages and alchemy for healing.

3.  If you are on a RP server you hate everyone that is magical, can seriously cut down on social interaction.

4.  ONLY wear leather armor, this is done to keep them playable and in line with thier need for speed and quietness.

Base stats are hader to identify but here is a general guide.  The stats will show a text explanation then an equation then an example.

Stamina normal is 25 points for each point of stamina.   (1X25 hp for each stamina).  Each level instead of gaining 2 stamina per level as normal for high stamina classes you gain 3.  So at lvl 10 if you started game with 10 stamina you would now have 40.  (40X25=1000).  At level 70 with quipment and natural stamina for example 600 you would have (600X25=15000) hp.

Agility- slightly less than rogues (.90%) of rogues statistics.

Strenghty -(.90%) of warrior

Intellect - Low they are in fact just killers.

Spirit - Can bi high as they should have a faster regeration rate.

Special skills only for Witchhunter classes.

Regeneration - Increases healing by 300% through deep meditation.

Jackknife - A special in combat hit that knocks out his opponent for a short period of time (3 to 5 seconds).  3 minute kewldown can only be used in combat withing 4 yard range.

Throat jab - A minimal damage attack that hits the opponents throat silencing them from casting any spell for 5 seconds.  ( Blizz could create a kewl animatino of the NPC or player grabbing thier throat afterwards).

Well here is just an idea of a Witchhunter which would be a great class to play and a challenging one.  Blizz is more than able to contact me for more information on the class.

Alurien Darkblad - Steamwheedle Cartel - EU servers.

((In order to make anything in WOW there should also be a story behind it to explain where things come from.  Unlike the Draenai the spaceship flying non laser wielding Aliens, Witchhunters fit the Lore of Warcraft much better.  Now begins the tale of the first batch of hunters.))

During the Great War the powerful Battlemages and Warlocks of the legion were given a task to come up with a way to beat through the growing rebellion on a corner of the Legions Empire.  On that planet the power of nature and the arcane was growing to such strength that the armies of men, elves, dwarves, trolls and orcs were beating back the Legions army and on the verge of destroying the transport portal to that world.

One such Battlemage named Ararnor and a powerful Warlock named Dierna took the task of destroying the rebellions magical wielders.  The two meet at the Battlemages mine on one of the moons of the outland to discuss their ideas.  Dierna had an idea to call forth a tarrasque from deep in the nether and unleash it upon the lands of strife to the Demon masters of the Legion.  Aramor although liked this idea knew that neither he nor the powerful warlock could control such a beast.

Aramor spoke is soft words, "I suggest we send assassins into the lands of Kalimor to strike down the schools of magic of that blasted world."

Dierna looked at the mage, "do you not think that was tried, each attempt was foiled by the magical charms or protections of the enemy.  We can not underestimate them as the Lords have done.  Some of them rival our power.  You do not like the idea of releasing a tarrasque but how about using it to create our own assassins."

Aramor looked at the warlock and thought hard then nodded.  The two went to work first demanding slaves from the world of Azeroth be brought to them from all the natural races there.  For 10 years at the lives of 10000 prisoners they were ready for the second stage.  For years they tested each race for strength, intellect, speed, flexibility and resistance.  The dwarves, elves, orcs and trolls would do.

Four pairs of slaves were brought forth from the mines all in semi good condition.  A dark elf male, a blood elf female, a male and female dwarf, the same for the orcs and trolls.  All were strapped into a strange device created by the warlock.  Dierna was a master Herbologist and Alchemist and as each of the pairs was strapped down he began to inject into their arms powerful elixirs that increased ones resistance toward magic.  He drained their blood, blended and mixed then returned the blood to the bodies.  The dwarvish pair was the first to die as their flesh seemed to implode on itself.  The orcish pair began to scream constantly, more with each treatment until the females screams just stopped as her body lie dead on the table.  Dierna cursed the failed experiment and began to curse her partner with powerful curses to melt the orcs flesh from his body.  Dierna was injured, as he cursed the orc a strange thing happened, the magical expulsion from Dierna reflected from the orcs soul back onto him.

Dierna lay on the floor screaming in pain as the elves and trolls laughed.  The orcish male began to sing an ancient hymn of war only to stop short in death as his brain exploded.  Dierna crawled to his mixing table dragging himself up to drink an elixir to end the pain of his magical curses.  He picked up his Netherspite wand and fired off a volley at all the living lab rats he still had left.  All but one attack was resisted by his test subjects.  The troll female lay chained to her bed with a bleeding wound on her side.  Dierna went to get Aramor.

The experiments began.  The three remaining subjects were bombarded with magic from both Aramor and Dierna with great degree of resistance.  A magical healer was brought in to test the subjects but the healer failed to heal the three of their wounds.  Dierna and Aramor watched the subjects.  The troll's natural ability to regenerate flesh and blood had increased by 500% and the elves by 300%.

Aramor and Dierna were pleased with their results; they cast the three remaining subjects into a pire of fire deep in Aramor's mine.  Five new pairs of Elves and five pairs of Trolls were brought into Dierna's laboratory and the transformation began again.  At the end of the transformation mighty warriors were brought in to train the subjects in battle.  After the warrior masters were complete, a group of elven assassins were brought in to train the subjects.  For 100 years the 10 subjects trained battle techniques, both honorable and dirty.

In this group of 10 new assassins there was a blood elf female named Karin en Tor.  She was quite but clearly the leader.  She kept the group from attempting escape and they trained even harder when their enslavers were not around.  The time had come she decided to leave.  During a training session she gave the silent orders that the trainers this day would die.  The group fought against great warriors and rogues and slaughtered each of them.  The rogue's poisons were now futile on them to the surprise of their trainers.  The subjects laughed as they walked from the training room wielding the weapons of their former trainers.  The group had over the years developed a few skills.

Magic and all things blessed or cursed gave off a scent to them that they could track.  The stronger the magic the easier the trail.  This day they sensed Dierna and Aramor very close to them.  Karin en Tor led the group to the Summoning chamber of Aramor.  The 10 shocked the two powerful arcane users only for a second.  Aramor looked at them and knew they were tainted subjects.  "Well the rats have found their way out of the maze, I guess it is time to kill the rats," spoke Aramor in soft but clear words.  Instantly a wall of shields materialized around the Battlemage.

"It is time to test your worth so to perfect the next batch," screamed Dierna as he summoned 4 powerful Void warriors at his side.

Karin en Tor jumped through the air toward Aramor her blade before her as she seemed to pass through the magical shields driving her sword through the throat of the Battlemage.  Fear entered his eyes as he looked into the female elf's eye.  She smiled and twisted her blade severing the head of the Battlemage as his shields disappeared around her.  She turned toward Dierna.  Dierna now looked about him.  The other 9 had surrounded him and his minions as Karin en Tor spoke.  "Release his demonic slaves from their master."  The 9 warriors charged the Warlock and in his entire power only one spell worked against the attack army of his creation.  Dierna fell to the ground grasping his throat as Karin en Tor stood over him.  "All of those of your kind will suffer the same fate."

The army of warriors searched the mines killing the guards they came across and freeing the slaves of the mine.  The discovered that day that many of the weapons of the Battlemage and Warlock were blessed or cursed and to hold them made them sick.  The magic around them disgusted them so much they felt compelled to destroy it.  They left the mine through the portals in the summoning room.

They believed their freedom would set them free.  They were mistaken the world they entered was full of the vile magic that made them sick.  Each within his own right was a powerful fighter and warrior, trained in both the shadows and field combat.  They traveled at first in small groups and each time they entered a village they sought out the witches and wizards of that land and executed them.  Karin en Tor decided they should separate as it was easier to track a group of elves and trolls together than each separate.

To this day the ten warriors roam through Azeroth seeking and hunting those responsible for their creation, the wielders of magic.  It has been rumored some have passed through the great portal and roam the outlands.  They are few and they are feared.
