A Dark Storm Approaches

As LanCraft grows in popularity we’re bound to attract the undesirable element too.

We’re starting to see an increase in the number of malicious links in posts.  Many of these links are to software such as World of Warcraft key loggers which when hidden on your system will record your username and password and send it to a total stranger who will likely log onto your account, sell everything and send the gold onto his account.  It does happen and has happened to smarter people than you and me.

In order to combat this we will be looking at some additional security but you can help by following two very simple rules:

1) Don’t download anything from our site or follow any links that are from members you don’t recognize.
2) Please don’t use the same username / password for our site as the one you use for World of Warcraft. 

Although we take every care to protect your information it’s better to be safe than sorry.

Also remember that we, the Overlords and Daal, would never post links of this kind.
And the rest of the Overlords here will assist in removing suspicious looking links as soon as humanly possible.

There's also something which you can do to be even more sure that you're not being keylogged: Download an antivirus software. This way if you'd by accident happen to have gotten keylogged the software will most likely detect the keylogger for you and remove the threat.

Keep it safe and keep what's yours.
