((This is a rp story such as the long journey which Daal posted a while back, anyone's allowed to join in))

"So if a pie is thrown at a certain velocity, it will move a certain distance depending on the flavor? Yes, indeed!"
The Gnome muttered to itself as it walked along a snowy pathway, his Voidwalker floating ominously behind him. The Gnome came to a doorway in the base of a hill. When he touched the door, a giant pie fell out of a hole above and began to fall towards the gnome. The Gnome gazed up at the dropping pie and said, "Apple? Yes, indeed!" The pie splattered all over the gnome. He cast a quick spell and was clean. Before another pie could fall on him, he proclaimed in a loud voice, "I am Vrac, master of pies!" The door swung open. Vrac stepped inside and made to close the door when someone stuck their foot in the way and flung the door wide. Vrac hid behind his voidwalker as the stranger strolled in.

((/gasp! Who could this mysterious personage be? could it be you? or maybe you! Yes indeed!))

A Night Elf entered. It was bright and sunny outside, but his armor seemed to consume all illumination, casting shadows upon him. He wore a closed helm, so one could not see his face, but two holes in the masks revealed the fiery abyss that was in his eyes. As he entered the room, Vrac stepped back and tried (in vain) to conceal his presence behind his voidwalker. The Night elf paused ominously and then took off his mask.
 - Vrac! Long time no see!
 - Xaal! Its you! For a moment I thought you were someone else...
 - Hehe, yes you looked rather scared. But dont worry all is well now.
 - Well I'll just go umm... get some tea.
Although Vrac now recognized Xaal, he still couldnt stop his hands from shaking. as he turned his back to the Priest in order to make a pot of Earl Gray, the sense of danger did not fade away. " I wonder why he has a wand in his hand". Those were the last thoughts that crossed his mind. Then everything went dark.
"Well, Bye Vrac, it was nice knowing you, but I never tolerate traitors" thought Xaal to himself as he blasted Vorc's head into smithereens. "Ironic that I'm using a holy spell to do this" said Xaal to himself, smiling bitterly as he left the house.

(Hope U dont mind me using the name of ur Priest Daal =)    )

"Immitation is the most powerful form of flattery"

Of course I don't mind mate and you seem to have captured Xaal as a character quite nicely.

((not to fear! grrr this is the second time I am writing this as my browser crashed Sad ))
The night elf dismounted, immediately sensing that something was wrong and ran into the dwelling. She staggered back out and was violently sick.

After wiping her mouth, she walked slowly back inside. Everything was covered with blood. A small body lay in the middle of the room; there was no head. the neck ended with a bloody stump and small lumps of flesh and brain were scattered around the room.  She did not notice however, that someone lurked in the shadows. The night elf composed herself and started chanting. A golden glow began to form, first around her and then the body. The light grew brighter and brighter until the night elf had to close her eyes. When it had dimmed down and the night elf looked at the body she saw the head safely back in its place on the neck and she could see the chest rising and falling. The gnome sat up, rubbing his head. He looked up at the elf and gasped with surprise.
"Please don't hurt me! all I did was sell some pie to a tauren! Yes, indeed!" At this, the figure in the shadows started forwards.
"What? Why would I hurt you? its me Anilio." She assured the gnome, pulling him to his feet.
"Thats what you did in the Barrens?!" The figure who had killed Vrac earlier stepped out of the shadows. "We thought you were trading weapons!"

hehe sorry dude but I was relishing the prospect of making the protagonist evil and cruel.... =/ but ur way of doing things is pretty good anyway, so here is my continuation =)

Xaal stepped out of the shadows and observed the gnome with suspicion. Whatever the little man said, he had an all too innocent look about him, and in the priests experience that meant that the gnome still had beans to spill.

 - What are you hiding from us?! Speak swiftly little one, or you shall learn the meaning of real pain." said Xaal as he lifted his staff and prepared the shadow word for pain.

 - Im telling the truth, I sw-wear! I... I... It wasnt my fault! He was big and evil, and he threatened to kill me! - The gnome was stuttering by now, half-hysterical and delirious with fright.

Xaals voice lowered to a growl - Well now I am threatening to kill you, and believe me, I will be much less merciless then your last captor.

 - Ok... I will tell you everything just DONT HURT ME! - The gnome was now shaking convulsively with fright, anticipating the pain to come.
"Hehe, its funny how I never even get to the actual torturing. By the time im ready to start, people are so afraid that they say everything. Its actually dissapointing" said Xaal to himself. Just as the Gnome was about to speak, he was enclosed in a holy sphere. "Well, If she doesnt like my methods then why does she keep me?"

A wry smile touched his lips, and he tapped his fingers together impatiently. He yearned to rejoin the Shadow Order, the secret sect of Shadow priests, but since being captured and bonded by Anilio, the holy priest, he had been wasting his time as an agent for the Alliance. "A spy for the humans" he thought to himself with disgust. It really had been a shame that his Mistress, the accursed priestess, had not trusted him and come to check on how his mission had been going.

"She will never trust me enough to give me a chance to escape. I will just have to kill her when she is weak" thought Xaal to himself. Just as he was contemplating breaking the shield, it vanished "Not that I would be strong enough to release it myself" Xaal muttered to himself bitterly. His magic had been bonded, encased within a shield. He could still use minor spells but he had no chance of overwhelming Anilio alone. He would just have to wait...

   - I trust that you had a good time, you two? - Said Xaal with a cynical twist to his lips.

    - Yes Xaal, we did. What were you thinking, scaring the man like that? I thought that we had gone over all this being evil stuff. You now walk in the light, and you better behave appropriately. - said Anilio. "She really is foolish" thought Xaal. Once with the shadow, always with the shadow. Xaal knew that he would never change, that nothing could make him turn over to the Holy side. The benefits of following the shadow were too great. "Well, let her think that Im having a change of heart"
    - Sorry Mistress - said Xaal humbly. - My dark instincts took over. It will not happen again.
   - Now apologise to Vrac. - said Anilio with a saintly face expression. She always looked suspiciously saintly.

   - Sorry Vrac, my zeal for our mission overcame my good sense. It will not happen again

   - I hope so, Xaal. I remember you when you were a holy priest. So talented, so much hope your teachers had in you. And now look at you...

Xaal clenched his fists and it took him much effort to maintain his smile. It was more a facial grimace than anything else, but he kept it on his face as he lied:
 - I now serve the Light again. Worry not; it will take time for me to convert, but I will help the good in the end.
With the smill still on his face, Xaal waved his hand at the little gnome and left the room.
