Welcome to LanCraft

LanCraft is an official fan site and community for Blizzard’s epic game – World of Warcraft.

With servers holding a reported 10 million subscribers world wide, huge 40 man raid instances taking place, a very intuitive character creation and development system and fun player versus player battles, there is no wonder why World of Warcraft is by far the most popular MMORPG today.

We hope that you have as much fun playing World of Warcraft as we do and enjoy your stay at LanCraft.

Crowd Control Focus Macro

This guide is designed to help players with castable crowd control (Mages / Priest etc).  It makes use of the focus system which for those that don't know is a hidden target you can set which can have spells / abilities cast upon it without the need to keep selecting it first.

It can be used in both PvE and PVP.

The macro works with a single click to set the crowd control target and then subsequent clicks to keep re-applying.

You can hold shift down when clicking the macro to re-focus a target, which is very useful if you either control the wrong target or the fight changes and you need to adapt.

The following is used for Shackle Undead.  To use for other CC, just replace the phrase Shackle Undead with the CC of your choice, ie Polymorph

#showtooltip Shackle Undead
/clearfocus [mod:shift]
/clearfocus [target=focus,dead]
/clearfocus [target=focus,help]
/focus [target=focus,noexists]
/clearfocus [target=focus,help]
/cast [target=focus,exists] Shackle Undead

If you want to get the most out of this macro, I suggest using a unit frames mod that will display your focus target like AG_Unitframes.  This way you'll be able to see exactly what state your controlled target is in.
