Upper Deck Entertainment (UDE) are the power behind the official WoW Trading Card game. The game itself is extremely addictive and very intuitive. The game is an excellent way of feeling like you're still part of the WoW experience when you're away from your PC. UDE have just released details of their exciting new expansion - Hunt for Illidan.
Here is news of the exclusive online loot cards available in the “Hunt For Illidan” expansion set for the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game. The set goes on sale at games stores on Wednesday 2nd July Path of Illidan (from card “The Footsteps of Illidan”) - “Super Common” loot – consumable
- Gives you a stack of 50 (can be used 50 times per card redeemed)
- 5 minute duration – stays when you zone, clears when you die
- Leaves a trail of green glowing footprints behind you when you walk/run

D.I.S.C.O. (from card “Disco Inferno”): - Uncommon loot
- Usable indoor and outdoor
- Clicking on this item in your bag creates a disco ball in a box. A big metal box appears in front of you and a shining ball on a giant spring is sticking out of it. There are swirling lights all around the ground around it.
- Any player (even of a different faction) can right click on it. When they do, they will get a buff that’s called “Listening to Music”. This will allow a unique piece of music to be heard. Players are not forced to dance, but are strongly encouraged to
- 10 minute duration, 30 minute cooldown

Ethereal Soul-Trader (from card “Ethereal Plunderer”): - Rare loot
- Using this item summons a full size Ethereal cosmetic pet. This Ethereal looks exactly like the Ethereal guys in-game, including their unique movement effect. This Ethereal is a Soul-Trader, which means that whenever you kill a mob, he will automatically reap their soul from their corpse. This will be highly visual, with a lightning arc connecting the Ethereal and the corpse. Once the soul collection is complete, the Ethereal will deposit some amount of Ethereal money into your bags. This money can be used to purchase other items from your Ethereal pet. Any player can right click on the Ethereal pet to view his sellable goods, but his items can only be purchased using the Ethereal money. He has 10 items you can purchase:
- Ethereal Essence Sphere – A conjured ball that can be passed back and forth (like the Leather Ball). Not sure what this looks like, though.
- Diluted Ethereum Essence – A potion similar to detect lesser invisibility. This is a bit odd, as it does affect gameplay, but Blizzard is okay with this.
- Ethereal Liqueur – An alcohol. Once you are “drunk”, you lose control of your character and run around screaming in agony.
- Ethereal Mutagen – Very similar to Papa Hummel’s pet biscuits, except instead of growing your cosmetic pet, this turns your cosmetic pet into a Flesh Beast. This does not work on the Ethereal pet.
- 6-piece Ethereal costume – The last six items are a cosmetic armor set that make your character look like an Ethereal. Blizzard is trying to also give these six items a set bonus that makes your character glow or something. Here are the names of the items: Soul-Trader’s Head Wrap, Soul-Trader’s Bindings, Soul-Trader’s Pauldrons, Soul-Trader’s Waistband, Soul-Trader’s Gloves, Soul-Trader’s Boots.
- Note that while this guy brings up a vendor window, you cannot use him as a typical vendor (no selling, no repair, etc.)

Tabards: We will also be getting six new tabards for our UDE Points Store (www.ude.com/points). These will be the same design as our previous tabards, with different coloring. Here are the names of these tabards: Green - Tabard of Nature Purple- Tabard of the Arcane Black- Tabard of the Void White- Tabard of Brilliance Yellow- Tabard of Fury Orange- Tabard of the Defender Tabard of the Arcane:
